- The Boardwalk Inn and Villas are both deluxe resorts that feature a Victorian-themed building facade with white columns and balconies overlooking the Boardwalk. The Boardwalk Inn opened on July 1, 1990, along with the rest of Disney’s Hollywood Studios (the park was then known as Disney-MGM Studios). The resort featured three sections: buildings themed after New York City; Atlantic City, New Jersey; and Chicago.
