- Enzian is a non-profit cinema and the home of the Florida Film Festival.
- The Enzian Theater opened its doors on March 22nd, 1990, as the first independent theater in Central Florida, featuring an eclectic mix of foreign language films and classics from all eras. In 1994 we started hosting various independent film festivals, including the Florida Film Festival (FFF), which has become one of the largest in the region, attracting over 60k attendees annually and receiving numerous awards, including Best Artistic Achievement at South by Southwest Film Conference & Festival 2016.
COVID-19 Notice
COVID-19 is a new virus spreading rapidly in the last few weeks. It can be transmitted through direct contact with an infected person, and it’s also common for people to catch COVID-19 from infected surfaces like door handles or toilets.
The first symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, fatigue, and nausea, followed by vomiting and diarrhea within 24 hours. If you have any of these symptoms while attending the theatre, please stay home until they go away so that you don’t spread them to other patrons!

- We offer an extensive selection of beer, wine, and cocktails and a full-service restaurant featuring gourmet pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.
- Our lounge offers seating for up to 100 people with its private entrance. Catering is available upon request.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall direction and operations of Enzian Theatre. Members are elected by the membership, with terms lasting two years. The Board meets monthly during the year and holds an annual meeting in May.

Staff & Crew
The staff and crew at the Enzian are dedicated to the art of cinema, and they’re passionate about providing you with an enriching and relaxing experience. Our volunteers are knowledgeable about our collection (over 7,000 items), which includes a wide range of film formats—35mm nitrate prints, 16mm prints and reels, DCP digital formats—and foreign language films. We hope you can join us soon.

- The Maitland Art Center, which serves as Enzian’s gallery space and houses its offices
- The Maitland Art Festival, for which the Enzian hosts an outdoor film festival each year on the grounds of the Maitland Art Center.
