All you need to know

Orlando’s International Drive is the epicenter of the city’s entertainment district, a buzzing strip of hotels, bars, restaurants, and shopping. The name comes from its location on I-4, stretching 11 miles from Sand Lake Road north to Kirkman Road south.

While there are some interesting places along International Drive, like SeaWorld Orlando and Universal Orlando Resort, most people come here for shopping and dining. More than 200 shops line both sides of I-Drive, with plenty more at Pointe Orlando, which sits just off I-Drive itself. The dining scene showcases more authentic international cuisine than you can shake a stick at, including Ethiopian food at Awash Market Cafe & Grill or Thai food at Khao Sarn Thai Cuisine & Bar.

Conclusion

If you want to get around easily on I-Drive, renting a car is your best option. There isn’t much public transit, and cabs are pricey. Sometimes you need a car to get around, so ensure you have one at your disposal.
